XNULLX releases five free sound design plugins
Developer XNULLX has released five free donationware plugins for sound design and sound mangling. The collection includes granular processing, saturation, wavefolding, spectral smear, and beat slicing tools. All plugins are available for Windows, macOS, and Linux at no cost.

- GrainBrain: A stereo four-band multiband granular processor designed for textural and rhythmic mangling.
- Saturnine: A saturation unit with wavefolding and bit-crushing options for aggressive tonal shaping.
- Spectre: A spectral smear effect that spreads and smears frequency content for lo-fi and experimental textures.
- SliceMaster: A beat slicer with adjustable slice sizes and swing for rhythmic glitch and stutter effects.
- Fold: A standalone wavefolder with modulation options for harmonic distortion and inharmonic textures.
Each plugin is released as donationware, meaning you can download and use it for free. If you find value in the tools, you’re encouraged to support the developer through a voluntary donation on the XNULLX website.
